Disney on Ice!

My friend Sarah and I went to Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic in Greensboro! It was soooo cool! I felt like a little kid because everytime A new prince and Princess came out I gasped and got really excited. It was kind of pathetic but I had a blast. If you havent gone, I definitely recommend it. I wish I had better pictures, but my camera hasn't been working too well so these are the only pics I was able to take.

New Hair Cut!!

I finally chopped my hair off! I love it! It's so easy to fix and just go. Before hand It was taking like an hour and some change to just straighten it, which did not really fit into my college schedule.

So I found this software called Gimp which is basically a free photoshop minus a few things.. but its pretty much amazing... I am finally getting to do what I want with my pictures. It takes up a good bit of time to do the editing so I have only done a couple but here are a few :

Monster Cockroach and ER visits????

So this past week has been so full of choas!

Last tuesday.... I rolled my ankle going down the stairs once again!
Nothing is broken.. just a little sore....

Wednesday...

I decided to stick around the dorm since my ankle was a little sore
from falling on the stairs the day before. For once in my life, I was
being very quiet and still; just doing my work. Out of the corner of my
eye I see something run across the floor... What I thought to be a baby mouse
ended up being an over-sized Cockroach! After I got control of my gagging
reflex, I called my roomie who was on her way back to the dorm. She
arrived but did not think anything of it! She thought I was kidding about
the size. She didnt want to take action until we saw him again but every-
one knows that one cockroach means a lot of cockroaches!!! I wanted to
find this cockroach and let his death be an example to all the other bugs
that might want to try to make this house their home.



My roomie threw
herself under the bed to find this so called "massive cockroach." Still not
believing me, she nonchalantly moves one of our storage boxes... all of a
sudden I heard this loud scream and saw her start to squirm from underneath
the bed. After I completely wrecked our room and sprayed everything everywhere. I found our little invader!

















Sunday Night...

I started having a cough on thursday.... and it
kept getting worse with time. Saturday I was miserable
especially since my roomie had a MRSA scare and we sat in the ER
for 3 1/2 hours ( not sure if it was MRSA but since someone in her family
has it, they went ahead and put her on antibiotics)... but sunday I just felt
soooo bad! To make a long story short..I went to the hospital at 12 or
so and didnt get to leave until 4:30 a.m. Come to find out, I have Bronchitis
just in time for exams!!! oo Lucky me! Im trying to take things easy
but sometimes you just gotta do what u gotta do.

The link between these two story is this.... apparently you can obtain
a bad case of bronchitis if you: A.) Are around sick ppl B.) Dusting a lot
and C.) Around a lot of fumes. All of which I have been around lately!

Surprise for mom!

Mom's Birthday was March, 31... She was planning on a nice day at the temple then a young women meeting later that night. Little did she know that me and tons of others were planning a surprise party! so here was the plan

1. I came home from college and stayed with the fabulous Kiggins that friday!
2. Mom and dad went to the temple until 6 sat.
3. I went to wally world while JD was at work to get cake, balloons, streamers etc.
4. Cleaned the house
5. JD and charlie helped me decorate... kinda..
6.family gets there
7. Mom and dad show up!

Everything went Great mom was very surprised!

The luck of the Irish??????

Let me just tell you about my so called "luck":
more like BAD luck if u ask me!
So usually I have to park my jeep a little ways away from my dorm complex.... but on the weekends you are allowed to park in the dorm parking lot (12am friday-7am monday).... let me add that the parking lot is set up in a "U" shape... so when all the spots are taken, a few cars usually park along the side.... kinda hard to explain.. but they're not actual parking spots...

Late saturday night all the spots were taken, so I just park off to the side like I have done before... NO BIG DEAL RIGHT? PSHH
The next morning.. everything was normal (so I thought) I was looking good for church... Just looking forward to a nice spiritual day
then.....

BAM!!!!!


I see that ugly slip of paper underneath my windshield wiper! What the heck "mr. I have nothing better to do with my life but to destroy everyone else's sunday morning" Not only did I get a stupid ticket for parking in a spot that me and millions of others park in, but it was not a $10 ticket... not $20...not $30 but a $50 ticket!!! U have got to be kidding me!!!!


ughhh!! So I call mom and she's not too mad.. tells me the usual.. be more careful..learn from this experience kind of thing. So I tell her yea...atleast I didnt get a speeding ticket!... you kno to make it seem alot better! didnt know i ALMOST jinxed myself!

FAst forward........
Monday night.. Bus running behind... took 45min to get to my car... already late for Family Home Evening...

Turn on Pullen... Turn By the Bell Tower...
The cop behind me turns on his lights!!!! ahhh really?? Mind process: Okay Miranda you can totally wake up now.. You've never had this bad of luck ever! Me pull over.. cop walking up to the car.. okay I really need you to wake up! like right now! This is way too stressful of a dream! "license and registration?" I hit reality... hand him my stuff...the normal convo... "where ya headed"..."church"...."wheres that at"..."Not even 3 secs that way"...he walks away....I start thinking about having to call mom and not only tell her that I got a speeding ticket but the day after I called and told her i had a parking ticket???? So Immediate water works... the guy comes back and bless his heart he just gave me a "verbal warning".. and tells me "that you dont want to get to heaven too soon"...


Hopefully my life gets a little less-eventful lol.... still havent told mom about getting pulled over but im sure that since I posted this she's bound to find out... oh well :/ Once again... "Atleast I didnt get a speeding ticket!!" ahhh

IM BACK!!!

Hey everyone!!!!
Sorry I have been M.I.A but Im back!!! Life in college is amazing and I love it so so much, but im ready for all this work to be over!!! This semester I am taking Calc, Spanish 201, Cultural Anthropology, and Modern American History... Not too bad of a schedule right??? Well it may look that way.. and I do admit that it's A LOT easier than last semester but ever since I got back from Spring break I've had soo much work. It's all good though! I am currently not working because no one wants to hire for only 2 months.... I just got my car on campus this semester which is why I would just have to get a job for only a couple of months and like I said no one really wants to do that.


Even though im ready for everything to be done i'm really going to miss all the fun I am having out here like: going to the temple whenever I wanted because its only 10min. away,...Football/ basketball games, craft nights :), playing soccer late at night, trying to skateboard, crazy workouts, pulling all night study sessions, going to the club, and most of all im going to miss all the amazing friends that I have made!!!! Life is so great!



But enough about me!!! How is everybody else these days??? I feel so out of the loop!
